STEM

The STEM Community inspires learners to understand and expand their interests to conduct scientific research and use professional and technical services, production, processing, marketing, and distribution ventures to discover connections between who they are now and who they want to become.

In the STEM Community, learners engage in immersive, hands-on experiments to explore their interests and build knowledge related to STEM careers within Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and Health Sciences.

The STEM Community provides learning opportunities within agriculture, food, natural resources, science, technology, engineering, math, and health sciences Pathways production and distribution to develop critical skills.  Learners will build talent and skills in and develop practices for planning, designing, testing, managing resources, and services that they will use to pursue future goals and career opportunities.

Pathway Options

Learners in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Community have the opportunity to pursue unique career clusters; STEM CTE, Health Science, and Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.  Each cluster hosts Pathway Options with a corresponding Introduction Course to the career pathway along with a series of connected career and technical education and training opportunities that move seamlessly into a postsecondary option for a specific career area.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math CTE

Intro to Science, technology, engineering, and math integrates technology-oriented mathematics and science applications into pre-engineering activities for students. Learners will gain an overview of material sciences, technology processes, enterprises, and career opportunities.

  • Pathway Option 1- Technology Innovation

  • Pathway Option 2- Engineering

Health Science

In this interest area, learners will explore the planning, managing, and providing therapeutic services, diagnostic services, health informatics, support services, and biotechnology research and development.

  • Pathway Option 1- Health Care Occupations

  • Pathway Option 2- Health Science

Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources

In this interest area, learners will explore the production, processing, marketing, distribution, financing, and development of agricultural commodities and resources.

  • Pathway Option 1- Plant Study

  • Pathway Option 2- Animal Study
