cover page for an artical about working with learners

We are honored to be featured in Education Reimagined’s final Learning Differences Research Series, highlighting innovative approaches to supporting learners with diverse needs. This work reflects what we strive for every day at the Norris School District—creating learning environments where support is responsive, relationships are central, and every young person is empowered to grow in confidence, skill, and self-awareness.

The recently published article, “Shaping Schools to Fit Students With Disabilities Leads to Academic Gains,” featured in The 74, showcases how schools like Norris, LaFayette Big Picture, and Avalon School are rethinking traditional models to better serve all learners. Through intentional design and daily practices, these schools demonstrate what is possible when education is built around the needs of learners—not the other way around.

We are proud to be part of this important conversation and grateful to be recognized alongside other forward-thinking schools committed to transforming learning experiences for all learners.
