In the science lab, learners tried to correctly identify the mystery household substance they were examining through the microscope. It is much harder than it looks...ask Silas!

Learners have been practicing TIPP during their DBT lessons.
TIPP, a distress tolerance skill from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), uses the acronym Temperature, Intense exercise, Paced breathing, and Progressive muscle relaxation to help calm down during intense emotions or crises.
Brexton demonstrated a TIPP exercise that he uses to help lower his heart rate.

What a great day! Today we hosted our T2 Learner Showcase. We are beyond proud of our learners efforts and their ability to present their achievements in front of a diverse audience of families, friends, staff, and community partners. The event was filled with unforgettable moments and highlights that we’ll cherish for years to come. Congratulations to all our amazing participants, and thank you for your dedication and hard work! A big thank you to everyone who was able to join us.





What an exciting day at Norris Academy! Learners went head-to-head in thrilling battles during the Pinewood Derby races. In the end, Sylvia came out on top as the victor, winning the bracket! What an awesome and engaging event for both learners and staff!



The Table Tennis Tournament was a huge success! The champions of the day are King in the learner bracket and Kyle in the staff bracket—congratulations to both! We had an incredible turnout with over 20 participants, making it another exciting and engaging event!




Learners are gearing up for the Table Tennis Tournament tomorrow by getting in some extra practice. Stay tuned to find out who will be our champion!



Some of our learners had an incredible afternoon at Cho's Martial Arts studio! They took part in an ELO (Extended Learning Opportunity) where they got to dive deeper into their interests and explore the exciting world of martial arts. What an amazing experience!



Learners are preparing their wooden cars for our Pinewood Box Car Derby. We are excited to bring back this tradition and see which team takes home the win!




Sylvia has been working hard to learn how to sew. She is currently making a weighted therapeutic pillow. "It's really fun, and I can't wait to finish my project!" said Sylvia. "I want to make some for different spaces at school for all the learners."




Mason has been working in the shop for the past few weeks, constructing a wooden toolbox. He stated, 'I really like working in the shop.' 'I want to make a flower from wood or metal next for my sister.' We can't wait to see how his next project turns out!




Norris learners created a giant football data chart in the auditorium after collecting and analyzing data.


Today, learners had the opportunity to visit Your Personal Gardener & Arborist's "shop" to see where all the magic happens. It was an awesome experience for our learners. James, the owner and CEO, is a partner with NDS and is providing learners with new opportunities...and pizza!

It’s getting cheesy at the Norris School District! Learners had an opportunity to take part in a Curiosity Lab where they learned how to make cheesecake. The results were delicious!



The learners had a great afternoon at Rainbow Springs Nature Preserve in Mukwonago, playing in the snow, hiking, and exploring the various areas the park has to offer.



The investigation is officially underway! Stay tuned as our learners work to unravel the mystery and determine which staff member is responsible for the graffiti on the wall.
