We’re excited to share that we were part of a new multi-case research study led by Education Reimagined, exploring how learner-centered education supports young people with learning differences. The series highlights how inclusion, responsiveness, and alignment can make a meaningful difference for every learner.
Alongside other education professionals, we collaborated as practitioner-researchers to uncover how starting with each learner’s strengths, needs, and interests can transform outcomes for young people.
You can explore the first phase of the series here:

-Research Overview: A Collaborative Multi-Case Study of Learner-Centered Education and Learning Differences
Navigating Policies and Conditions: Supporting Youth with Learning Differences in Learner-Centered Environments
-Addressing Specific Learning Differences Through Learner-Centered Education: Evidence from Practice and Literature
More findings from this series will be released in early 2026—stay tuned!

Today’s outdoor adventure started with a hunt for grubs 🐛 (baby bugs, thanks for the tip, Katie!), but when they proved tricky to find, we switched to digging for worms—adding about 25 new wriggly friends to our worm farm! We also got a little scientific, using magnets to collect roughly 20g of particulate iron from the soil. Science and nature, all in one afternoon! 🔬🌿

Outdoor Education Week continues on! 🌳 The tree in this photo marks the spot for our first tree-identification trail sign—a majestic oak standing nearly 100 feet tall and likely over a century old! Learners are already brainstorming ways to calculate its exact height (hello, math and trigonometry in action!). Exciting things are happening outdoors at Norris! 🍂
